The Pandemic. Weird times, amirite?
We were stuck in place, but so aware of what was happening outside of ourselves. The world felt both inconceivably vast, yet completely connected at the same time.
As my partner and I were tidying and organizing and preparing to hunker down, I decided my Lightroom could use some organization, too. I began looking through photos of my US adventures of the before times...train rides to DC, road trips through the Colorado Rockies, hiking across the Kodachrome basin in Utah...and began realizing how much those places they are a part of me and how I put my world together. The memories of mountains and mesas weave themselves in and out of my day to day, sometimes a part of my conscious mind—usually not—but there all the same.
